Welcome to Faith 5: Summer Family Devotions

Faith 5 is a quick way to build family devotions into your day, and have more faith conversations at home, or on the go. There are 5 steps: Share, Read, Talk, Pray and Bless. Here is how it works.

Faith5 column

Gather your family together. Dinner time or bedtime might work for you. You can do Faith 5 in 5-15 minutes.

1. Share your highs and lows of the day.

2. Read a Bible verse or story. (First week’s are below.)

3. Talk about how the reading relates to your highs and lows.

4. Pray for one another’s highs and lows.

5. Bless one another.

A blessing could be tracing a simple sign of the cross on the forehead, with the words, “God loves you and so do I,” or another sign of blessing for your family.

Want ideas for the Bible readings? The Bible is filled with images of water that are perfect for summer devotions. Here are a few verses that will help you dive in this week:

  • June 1: Genesis 1:1-10
  • June 2: Genesis 18:1-14
  • June 3: Isaiah 11:6-9
  • June 4: Isaiah 12:2-3
  • June 5: Isaiah 25:8-9
  • June 6: Isaiah 35:1-6
  • June 7: Isaiah 41:17-18

Here is an intro video that shows how one family (with little ones) does the Faith 5.
